- Today: Steady rain at times with mountain snow (80%)! High: 49°
- Tonight: Scattered rain (40%). Low: 38°
- Tomorrow: Drying out with cool afternoon temperatures (10%). High: 53°
A winter storm will bring 0.25″ to 0.75″ of rain for most valley locations and several inches of snow for the mountains! Rain and snow expected the first half of the day today turning more scattered this afternoon into Saturday morning. Some isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon as well.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for elevations above 4,500 feet until 11 AM Saturday morning. This includes Bisbee (5,538 feet), Sonoita (4,885 feet), Sierra Vista (4,633 feet) and Oracle (4,524 feet). Between 4,000 and 5,000 feet 1″ to 4″ of snow will be possible with 2″ to 6″ of snow between 5,000 and 7,000 feet. Elevations above 7,000 feet could see 6″ to 12″ of snow with higher amounts possible for the peaks! Snow levels could drop to as low as 3,000 feet so light accumulation will be possible in those spots.
The biggest impacts will be slick roads and low visibility due to blowing snow with wet roads and ponding possible for valley locations. Plan ahead and give yourself extra time if you have to be out on the roads.
Temperatures will also struggle to make it out of the 40s, even in the warmest places, today and tomorrow with overnight lows dropping below or near freezing for most on Sunday and Monday morning.
